It’s generally said that salt and sugar are the worst additives you can ingest daily; this is due to the problems that arise from eating too much of these foods. If you consume too much salt, you can end up suffering from diabetes; and if you consume too much salt, you’ll end up with heart and blood pressure problems.
However, there is currently one food that is more dangerous than sugar and salt. This food is known as sodium glutamate.
Sodium glutamate was discovered in Japan in 1907 by Ikeda Kikunae. This food is responsible for many diseases and deaths worldwide because only 1.5 grams of it can be consumed daily for adults and 1 gram for children.

However, approximately 200,000 tons of this food are consumed worldwide each year. Considering the global population, this may seem like a small amount; however, this figure is actually alarming.
Sodium glutamate: the poison we consume daily
It’s a white crystalline powder that resembles salt and sugar. It also tastes like beef soup and is an additive you can add to any food. It’s typically used to enhance the flavor of foods; therefore, it’s widely used in most processed foods, such as salami, sausages, frozen foods, etc.
Likewise, sodium glutamate E621 is an additive used to better preserve the aroma of foods and improve their flavor. This is why it is used in many foods, as it can reduce production costs and quality.
It’s because this additive modifies the genes responsible for flavor perception and stimulates brain cells that people prefer it over completely organic foods.
Therefore, what you can do to avoid this food is to read product labels to see if they contain it.
