Jasiel Giovanny

After 8-year-old Jasiel Giovanny was found dead on Thursday. He had been reported missing since Tuesday, July 2, in Chihuahua, it was announced that the minor’s stepfather, Abraham Alejandro “N,” 24, is in custody and is considered the prime suspect in the crime.

The minor’s body was found on a property near the San Agustín subdivision, a few meters from the Circuito Maniqueo neighborhood, where the boy lived with his mother and stepfather.

According to initial reports, the body was wrapped in a plastic bag and showed four stab wounds that pierced the lungs and heart, as well as various bruises on the body and alleged signs of abuse.

According to testimony gathered by the family, Jasiel left home with the intention of going to play at the park. At the time, he was in the care of his stepfather, as his mother was at work.

According to the child’s mother, the stepfather left the child alone on the street to go to the bathroom at home, and that’s when he disappeared.

Following the investigation, Abraham Alejandro “N”, 24, was initially arrested for neglect of care, but authorities are now investigating him as the prime suspect in the minor’s murder.

During a press conference, State Attorney General César Gustavo Jáuregui Moreno announced that, according to the investigation, the minor was never missing.

The prosecutor indicated that the minor was a victim of his stepfather, Abraham Alejandro “N,” who is currently in custody and will be prosecuted for rape and homicide.
